MrBeast Pulls AI Thumbnail Tool Following Reaction
YouTube’s biggest private creator, Jimmy Donaldson, known by his moniker MrBeast, dealt with neighborhood reaction after introducing an AI thumbnail generator that could duplicate the designs of other creators, requiring his team to make adjustments to the controversial tool within days. Jacksepticeye expressed his concerns by stating, ‘Fuck AI.’ Donaldson co-founded ViewStats in late 2023 with Chucky Appleby as part of Juice, a developer tools startup he also helped launch. Despite clarifying that face-swap features would be limited to creators using their own faces on their own thumbnails, the tool remains available on ViewStats despite deleted marketing posts.
