Pakistan Unveils Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Plan at White House Talks
Pakistan’s minister for crypto and blockchain, Bilal Bin Saqib, visited the White House to present the country’s new Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and discuss digital asset collaboration with the United States. Saqib met with Robert ‘Bo’ Hines, executive director of President Donald Trump’s Council on Digital Assets, to outline Pakistan’s vision for a modern digital economy fueled by Bitcoin and blockchain technology. Saqib emphasized that these initiatives will convert surplus energy into digital productivity, create jobs, and boost economic growth.
Hines, responsible for U.S. digital asset policy under the Trump administration, expressed interest in enhancing international partnerships. Pakistan is working on a regulatory framework for digital assets, with the Ministry of Finance endorsing the establishment of the Pakistan Digital Assets Authority (PDAA).
